Most growing companies reach the same point: purchases are getting bigger, and finance wants a manager to check large orders before they go out to a vendor. In Odoo, setting this up usually means configuration work or a developer.
With the Odoo Vibe-Coding Platform, we added a complete approval step by describing it in one sentence.
The prompt
On purchase orders, if the total is more than 10,000, the order must be approved by a manager before it can be confirmed. Add an “Approve” button for managers and show the approval status on the order.
What the AI agent built
- Approval rule: Any purchase order above 10,000 is marked as Pending Approval and cannot be confirmed yet.
- Clear warning: A banner on the order explains that manager approval is needed. If someone tries to confirm early, Odoo shows a clear error.
- Approve button: Only Purchase Managers see the Approve button. The server also blocks anyone else from approving.
- Status badge: A yellow Pending Approval badge turns into a green Approved badge, with a note showing who approved and when.
- Small orders unaffected: Orders of 10,000 or less are confirmed as usual, with no extra step.
Tested before hand-over
Before saying it was done, the agent tested the full flow on its own: it created a test order of 17,250, confirmed it was blocked, checked that a normal user could not approve it, approved it as a manager, confirmed it successfully, and checked that a small order still went through without approval. Then it deleted all its test data.

Want a different limit?
