Odoo has published a customer story about Charming Printing, a Hong Kong specialty printing company that rolled out Odoo across its international operations. We were the implementation partner on this project.
The company
Charming Printing was founded in Hong Kong in 1991. It makes trim and label printing, packaging and RFID technology for fashion retail brands, and runs around fifteen offices and factories across America, Asia and Europe.
What the problem was
Most offices ran their own custom systems for manufacturing, inventory and sales. Vietnam ran a separate local printing solution. Each system worked on its own, but nothing talked to anything else.
The result was predictable. Teams in different locations had no view of what the others were doing. Information that should have been passed on got missed. When something went wrong, tracing it back across several disconnected systems took time nobody had.
What changed
Odoo gave the company one platform instead of many. Manufacturing, inventory and sales data now sits in the same place, and management can see the whole operation without moving between systems.
The more interesting change was not technical. Once staff could see the full workflow, they started setting up their own checkpoints to catch problems early, because the data was now reliable enough to act on. Teams that previously worked in isolation began paying attention to how their work affected everyone downstream.
Charming Printing plans to extend the rollout to its offices in Bangladesh, the United States and Guatemala.
What this looks like from our side
Multi-site rollouts are less about features and more about agreement. Fifteen locations each have their own way of numbering products, handling stock and closing a job. Getting them onto one system means deciding whose way wins, and that conversation takes longer than the configuration does.
The payoff is that a question like “where is this order” has one answer instead of five.
